Here is a powerful representation of the crucified Jesus Christ in the hour of death, with the mourning Mary Magdalene at his feet, in front of the imaginary backdrop of Jerusalem. The skull at the bottom of the cross marks the place of the execution site. Flemish school, 17th century.
Condition issues noted. Some paint loss as seen in the pictures. Old repair to canvas, otherwise unrestored condition.
