Made in France, circa mid 19th century, this decorative “Bassine a Confiture” (or jelly bowl) is round in shape and features two side handles attached with rivets. The simple, traditional kitchen accessory is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich polished finish throughout; Both the inside and outside of the bowl have a hammered surface. This versatile dish could also be used as a wine or beer cooler filled with ice, or simply as a centerpiece planter.
